Papua Governor, Lucas Enembe

JAKARTA, – Papua Governor, Lukas Enembe finally examined as a witness by the Directorate of Corruption Crime Police Criminal Investigation, Monday (4/9/2017).

He was examined related to alleged corruption in the use of education budget in the form of scholarships for students in Papua.

Originally, Luke examined investigators on Thursday (8/31/2017) ago. However, he did not meet the call because there are activities in Papua.

“The concerned reschedule itself will be present today after last week was not present,” said Deputy Director of Corruption Police Criminal Investigation Commissioner Erwanto, cited kompascom.

According to Erwanto, Luke has been present and investigators are being investigated.

The case has risen to the investigation stage at the end of August. However, the investigator has not set a suspect.

In this case, it is assumed that the allocation of education budget in Papua is not used according to its allocation in fiscal year 2016.

Police found a number of facts of budget irregularities. The findings are reinforced by findings from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). (MHN)
