Melanesiahotnews.com – Jayawijaya regency hit by gasoline and cement crisis whose price is not in accordance with the government’s decree. This condition makes the Office of Manpower and Industry (Disnakerindag) threatened to remove actions for the perpetrators of the causes of the crisis.
“The increase of fuel price of gasoline does not happen because of the scarcity in the market, three APMS are still operating and remain open to serve every day,” said Head of Manpower Office of Industry and Trade (Disnakerindag) Jayawijaya, Arisman Chaniago told reporters , Sunday (17/09/2017).
He explained that the retail price of gasoline ranging from Rp 15 thousand to Rp 18 thousand per liter, caused retailers to get a high price of Rp 12 thousand to Rp 13 thousand per liter.
Arisman is watching the retailers and making sure there are no components that cause prices to rise. “So that in the near future will conduct curbing against naughty retailers who still sell gasoline over Rp 10 thousand,” said Arisman added.
Increase and scarcity of gasoline cause cement type building materials in Jayawijaya regency rare. This is due to poor supply while demand demand is quite high.
“According to the traders, suppliers of construction materials have sufficient stock in Jayapura, but the constraint is the issue of transport from Jayapura to Wamena,” said Arisman.
Disnakerindag has coordinated with aviation aviation in order to pay attention to the availability of stock of goods in the market, more specifically to prioritize the materials that are currently being scarce in the Market. “The goal is that price volatility in the Wamena market can be avoided,” he said.
Chairman of the Jayawijaya Jayawijaya Joint Administration of Indonesia (GAPENSI), Fredrik Huby, questioned the occurrence of cement stock shortages and fuel price hikes in Jayawijaya regency.
According to him, the second crisis of economic commodity proof of Minister of SOE to Jayawijaya some time ago did not bring change. “And have not been able to answer the needs of cement in the mountains and Jayawijaya regency,” said Fredik Huby.
He admitted that some businessmen especially from Gapensi members in Jayawijaya Regency have difficulties in obtaining cement in the market. “Even if there is a price in the building store is still around Rp 650 thousand per sack,” said Fredik explained.
The crisis of gasoline and cement is a constraint, especially small contractors in Jayawijaya and other areas in the mountains.
According to him, the determination of one fuel price by the central government does not run optimally, because for retail units per liter of gasoline and diesel in Jayawijaya reaches Rp15 thousand to Rp18 thousand.
“We ask for a team sent by the President to check and see directly to Jayawijaya regency,” he said. (Nong Gaat / MHN)
